RIZZLE

Stefan and Cathy are visual artists, project managers, DJs, producers and promoters whose spiritual home is the smoke and bright lights of a music festival.

They asked us for a dark and cosy build that will serve as both refuge and pre-party venue on those long, hot July weekends.

Their VW Transporter, named Rizzle, is furnished with a crash-rated RIB bed/seat, to allow the van to carry 6 passengers, or sleep 2.

The compact kitchen pod is modular and removable, meaning the Cadac 2 double stove can be used outside for alfresco dining. The 24 litre fridge is also easily removed, and the storage box behind the stove doubles up as a stool.

Cooler evenings are taken care of by a 2kw diesel heater, whilst thermal blackout curtains and a generous amount of insulation keep the heat in.

Finally, concealed RGBWW LED strip lights can provide anything from soft ambient lighting, to full-on disco sparkle.
