Choosing an Environmentally Conscious Insulation
Choosing an environmentally conscious insulation for your garden room, by Demaus & Marsden
THE BUNKER (W.I.P)
In Sept 2022, we began work converting a WW2 bomb shelter into a truly unique garden office and summer room for a young family in Bristol.
2023
Happy New Year! 2022 was our first full year in business and we are super proud of the work we achieved. From fitted wardrobes to tricked-out campervans and a stunning new garden office from the shell of a WW2 bomb shelter, it has been such a buzz to see our clients enjoying what we have built. Its been a rollercoaster of a journey and we have learned so much. Here’s to 2023!
From Dezeen
“The building's frame is made from sustainably sourced spruce wood and was built from prefabricated parts. Three mushroom-shaped volumes set on the sloping site house counselling rooms inside their pod-like centres”, according to Dezeen
From The Modern House
“We discover why having flexible, non-perspective space separate from but near home is a gift that one keeps on opening up”, according to The Modern House
From The Guardian: Home working drives demand for ‘shoffice’ space in UK gardens
“Change to working practices during Covid pandemic has led to booming sales of high-end sheds”, according to Joanna Partridge at The Guardian
Day One
Demaus & Marsden has a workshop!
After several months of building campervans on the street, in a carpark, or in Tony’s parents’ Dutch barn, we’ve found ourselves a more permanent home. It took a while, but we’ve signed a lease on a large, airy barn which will soon be a busy workshop.
